TECHNICAL COURSES PREREQUISITES

To ease the flow of information to those interested in the Technical Courses offered by the Accomplices, we have prepared this list of gear, conditions and/or other preparations needed to participate in this program.
DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES and/or TRIMIX

1.....EQUIPMENT : In addition to the standard gear usually needed for deep diving, technical courses demand the following :
...Single tank with adequate capacity for the planned depth and time. Usually, this means a tank with 95 cf capacity or greater
...Double Valve, (H or Y)
...Pony tank for Oxygen service with a minimum 19 cf
...Two high performance regulators (diaphragm or balanced piston); one of them with a hose of minimum 5 ft.
...Deco regulator, for Oxygen service
...BCD with enough lift with rings for clipping additional gear
...Lift Bag (SMB) with a minimum 50 lbs (23 Kg) lift
...Reel with minimum 75 ft (22m) line
...Other minor items compatible with the dive objectives
2.....MEDICAL CERTIFICATE : Unconditional and without any reservations to do exhausting dives. NO SMOKERS ONLY.

3.....MEDICAL HYPERBARIC INSURANCE Prefer DAN, but will accept any current valid insurance that covers hyperbaric treatment.

4.....BOOKS : TDI Student Manual. Other materials will be issued that must be brought to class.

4.....DIVES : A minimum of four (4) dives, unless the course is combined with the Technical / Trimix. The instructor could allow credit for previous dive experience, if proper.

5.....Ability to download information on decompression processes from the Internet.

EXTENDED RANGE AND / OR TRIMIX COURSE

All above criteria apply. In addition, you'd need :
1.....EQUIPMENT :
...Double Tanks with greater than 140 cf capacity with manifold (isolator valve optional).
...O2 cleaned pony tanks with sufficient capacity for planned decos.
2.....BOOKS : TDI Student Manuals.
3.....DIVES : A minimum of four (4) dives except when combined with the DECO course or when the instructor credits previous dives.
While we would like to have candidates use their own gear to the very maximum for complete familiarity, we understand that travel restrictions makes it impractical or inconvenient. Tanks and other items are available for rental at several nearby dive centers. In case of any questions, or comments, please address them to
